नागपूर, ता. ६ : कर्करोगाशी लढा देणाऱ्या चिमुकल्या मुलांच्या चेहऱ्यावर हास्य फुलवून त्यांच्या आयुष्यात आनंदाचे काही क्षण निर्माण करण्याच्या उद्देशाने कॅन-किड्सच्या वतीने दिवाळी मिलन कार्यक्रमाचे आयोजन करण्यात आले. जीएमसीच्या वॉर्ड क्रमांक ८५ येथे शुक्रवारी (ता. ६) आयोजित या कार्यक्रमात कॅन्सरग्रस्त बालरुग्णांसोबत दिवाळीचा आनंद साजरा करण्यात आला. कर्करोगासारख्या गंभीर आजाराशी लहान वयातच सामना करणाऱ्या मुलांना उपचारादरम्यान आनंदाचे क्षण अनुभवता यावेत, या सामाजिक भावनेतून कॅन-किड्स गेल्या अनेक वर्षांपासून विविध सामाजिक संस्था आणि दानशूर व्यक्तींच्या सहकार्याने असे उपक्रम राबवत आहे. याच उपक्रमाचा भाग म्हणून यंदाही दिवाळी मिलनाचे आयोजन करण्यात आले.

या कार्यक्रमाला प्रमुख पाहुणे म्हणून इंदिरा गांधी शासकीय रुग्णालयाचे अधिष्ठाता डॉ. अविनाश गावंडे, ऑन्कोलॉजी विभागप्रमुख डॉ. दिवान, डॉ. विजय मोहबिया, डॉ. प्रज्ञा ताजने, सामाजिक कार्यकर्ते प्रवीण कांबळे आणि कुमुदिनी कडव उपस्थित होते. मान्यवरांच्या हस्ते बालरुग्णांना ड्रायफ्रूट्स, एनर्जी पावडर, चिक्की, चॉकलेट, टिफिन बॉक्स, फळे, राजगिरा लाडू, खजूर आदी पौष्टिक खाद्यपदार्थांचे वाटप करण्यात आले. यावेळी मान्यवरांनी मुलांना मार्गदर्शन करून त्यांना प्रोत्साहन दिले. कार्यक्रमासाठी सामाजिक कार्यकर्ते आशिष फुलझेले, सचिन रामटेके, प्रीतम मेश्राम, किरण रामटेके, प्रवीण गजभिये, प्रवीण भिमटे, समाजसेवा अधीक्षक चेतन मेश्राम, हरीश सर, वन रुपीज डोनेशन ग्रुप आणि मिडास फाउंडेशनच्या सदस्यांनी सहकार्य केले. कॅन-किड्सच्या सीमा कोने, वैशाली गोमासे, कविता ढोक आणि विजया खांडेकर यांच्या प्रयत्नांतून कार्यक्रम पार पडला. यावेळी कॅन-किड्सच्या टीमने अधिष्ठाता डॉ. अविनाश गावंडे यांच्यासह सर्व डॉक्टर, सामाजिक कार्यकर्ते आणि दानदात्यांचे आभार मानले. चिमुकल्यांच्या चेहऱ्यावरील आनंद आणि निरागस हास्य हेच या दिवाळी मिलनाचे खरे फलित ठरले.

CanKids Celebrates Diwali with Young Cancer Patients

Nutritional food items distributed at GMC Ward No. 85; smiles brought to the faces of children

Nagpur, November 6: With the aim of bringing smiles to the faces of children battling cancer and creating moments of happiness in their lives, CanKids organised a Diwali Milan celebration at Ward No. 85 of GMC on Friday. Understanding the challenges faced by young children undergoing cancer treatment, CanKids has been organising various activities for several years with the support of social organisations and generous individuals. As part of this initiative, the Diwali Milan programme was organised to bring joy and positivity into the lives of these young patients.

The programme was attended by Dr. Avinash Gawande, Dean of Indira Gandhi Government Medical College and Hospital, Dr. Diwan, Head of the Oncology Department, Dr. Vijay Mohabia, Dr. Pradnya Tajne, social worker Pravin Kamble and Kumudini Kadav as the chief guests. On the occasion, nutritional food items such as dry fruits, energy powder, chikki, chocolates, tiffin boxes, fruits, rajgira laddoos and dates were distributed among the children at the hands of the dignitaries. The guests also guided and encouraged the young patients.

Social workers Ashish Phulzele, Sachin Ramteke, Pritam Meshram, Kiran Ramteke, Pravin Gajbhiye, Pravin Bhimte, Social Welfare Superintendent Chetan Meshram, Harish, members of the One Rupee Donation Group and Midas Foundation extended their valuable support to the initiative.

The programme was successfully organised through the efforts of CanKids members Seema Kone, Vaishali Gomase, Kavita Dhok and Vijaya Khandekar. The CanKids team expressed special gratitude to Dean Dr. Avinash Gawande, doctors, social workers and all donors for their valuable contribution. The innocent smiles and happiness on the faces of the children made the celebration truly meaningful, spreading the message that the real joy of Diwali lies in sharing happiness with others.
