सुरेश भट सभागृहात ‘छ. शिवाजी अंडरग्राऊंड इन भीमनगर मोहल्ला’ नाटकाला उस्फूर्त प्रतिसाद

नागपूर : छत्रपती शिवाजी महाराज जयंतीनिमित्त कलापथीक आणि युथ फॉर रिव्होल्युशन यांच्या संयुक्त विद्यमाने सुरेश भट सभागृह येथे ‘छ. शिवाजी अंडरग्राऊंड इन भीमनगर मोहल्ला’ या प्रभावी नाटकाचे आयोजन करण्यात आले. या नाटकाला नागपूरकरांनी उत्स्फूर्त प्रतिसाद देत सभागृह खचाखच भरले.

कार्यक्रमाचे उद्घाटन प्रख्यात अर्थतज्ञ, पद्मश्री डॉ. सुखदेव थोरात यांच्या हस्ते झाले. प्रमुख पाहुणे म्हणून साहित्यिक इ. मो. नारनवरे. वरिष्ठ पत्रकार  नागेश चौधरी उपस्थित होते. यावेळी इन्कम टॅक्स आयुक्त धनंजय वंजारी, अपर आयुक्त (सीजीएसटी) मुकूल पाटील, सामाजिक न्याय विभागाचे उपायुक्त डॉ. सिद्धार्थ गायकवाड, अनिल रामटेके यांच्यासह नागपूरातील विविध क्षेत्रातील मान्यवरांनी हजेरी लावली.

कार्यक्रमाची प्रस्तावना जीवन गावंडे यांनी केली. हे नाटक केवळ सांस्कृतिक कार्यक्रम नसून विचारांचे आंदोलन आणि जनसंवादाचे प्रभावी माध्यम असल्याचे त्यांनी नमूद केले. 1990 ते 2010 या कालखंडात निर्माण होऊ पाहणाऱ्या जातीय सलोख्याला खीळ घालून समाजाला पुन्हा विभागण्याचे प्रयत्न आजही सुरू आहेत. हे प्रयत्न थांबवायचे असतील, तर समाजप्रबोधनाची नवी माध्यमे उभी करावी लागतील आणि हे नाटक त्याच दिशेने उचललेले पाऊल असल्याचे त्यांनी सांगितले.

नाटकाच्या माध्यमातून छत्रपती शिवाजी महाराजांनी उभारलेल्या समतामूलक स्वराज्याचा जाज्वल्य इतिहास, क्रांतीसूर्य महात्मा ज्योतिबा फुले यांनी बहुजनांसाठी खुले केलेले शिक्षणाचे दरवाजे, राजर्षी छत्रपती शाहू महाराजांनी रुजवलेली सामाजिक न्यायाची बीजे आणि भारतरत्न डॉ. बाबासाहेब आंबेडकरांनी भारतीय राज्यघटनेतून मांडलेले स्वातंत्र्य, समता, न्याय व बंधुतेचे तत्त्वज्ञान यांची प्रभावी सांगड घालण्यात आली.

विशेष म्हणजे सुमारे ७०० महाविद्यालयीन युवक-युवतींना हे नाटक निशुल्क दाखविण्यात आले. त्यांच्या मनामनात परिवर्तनाची प्रेरणा जागविण्याचा आयोजकांचा उद्देश यशस्वी ठरला. या कार्यक्रमाच्या यशस्वीतेसाठी बोधी फाउंडेशन, आयझॉन इंडस्ट्रीज, आसन्या फाउंडेशन व नमामी प्रकाशन यांचे विशेष सहकार्य लाभले. तसेच एन7 न्यूज व्हॉईस, आवाज इंडिया टीव्ही, दैनिक बहुजन सौरभ यांसह विविध प्रसारमाध्यमांनी प्रचार-प्रसारात मोलाची भूमिका बजावली. काही तांत्रिक कारणांमुळे नाटक निश्चित वेळेत सुरू होऊ शकले नाही. तरीदेखील प्रेक्षकांनी संयम राखत उशिरापर्यंत थांबून नाटकाला उत्स्फूर्त दाद दिली. याबद्दल नाटकातील कलाकारांनी नागपूरकरांचे मनःपूर्वक आभार मानले.

‘छ. शिवाजी अंडरग्राऊंड इन भीमनगर मोहल्ला’ हे नाटक नागपूरमध्ये विचारजागृतीची नवी लाट निर्माण करणारे ठरले, असे मत उपस्थित मान्यवरांनी व्यक्त केले. कार्यक्रम यशस्वितेकरिता सर्व पदाधिकारी यांनी परिश्रम घेलते.   

Massive Response to ‘Chh. Shivaji Underground in Bhimnagar Mohalla’ at Suresh Bhat Auditorium

Nagpur: On the occasion of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Jayanti, Kalapathik and Youth for Revolution jointly organized the thought-provoking play “Chh. Shivaji Underground in Bhimnagar Mohalla” at Suresh Bhat Auditorium. The event received an overwhelming response from citizens, with the auditorium filled to capacity.

The play was inaugurated by noted economist and Padma Shri awardee Dr. Sukhadeo Thorat. Eminent writer E. M. Naranaware and editor of the weekly Bahujan Sangharsh, Nagesh Chaudhary, graced the occasion as chief guests. Several dignitaries from various fields were also present, including Income Tax Commissioner Dhananjay Wanjari, CGST Additional Commissioner Mukul Patil, Deputy Commissioner of Social Justice Department Dr. Siddharth Gaikwad, Anil Ramteke, and others.

Delivering the introductory address, Jeevan Gawande stated that the play is not merely a cultural performance but a movement of ideas and a medium of public dialogue. He highlighted that between 1990 and 2010, efforts were being made to foster social harmony, but attempts were also made to divide society along caste lines—efforts that continue even today. He emphasized that such divisive tendencies must be countered through powerful mediums of awareness, and this play is one such initiative.

The production artistically connected the egalitarian vision of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s Swarajya, the revolutionary educational reforms of Mahatma Jyotiba Phule, the social justice initiatives of Rajarshi Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj, and the constitutional ideals of liberty, equality, justice, and fraternity enshrined by Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar. Through its powerful narrative, the play sought to inspire audiences toward social transformation.

A special highlight of the event was that around 700 college students were invited to watch the play free of cost, aiming to ignite a spark of awareness and inspiration among the youth. The organizers successfully achieved this objective.

The event received valuable support from Bodhi Foundation, Izonn Industries, Asanya Foundation, and Namami Prakashan. Media partners including N7 News Voice, Aawaz India TV, and Daily Bahujan Saurabh also extended significant promotional support.

Although the play began later than scheduled due to technical reasons, the audience patiently stayed until the end and applauded the performance wholeheartedly. The artists expressed their sincere gratitude to the people of Nagpur for their enthusiastic support.

The event stood out as a powerful cultural assertion and a meaningful step toward spreading social awareness through theatre.
