डॉ.आंबेडकर उद्यानात छ. शाहू महाराज यांना शंभर सेकंद कृतज्ञता

छ.शाहू महाराज यांच्या जीवनाबद्दल माहिती सांगताना मान्यवर

मुंबई : कल्याण डोंबिवली महानगरपालिकेच्या डॉ. बाबासाहेब आंबेडकर उद्यानात लोकराजा छत्रपती शाहू महाराज यांच्या शंभरव्या स्मृती दिनाच्या निमित्ताने शंभर सेकंद स्तब्ध उभे  राहून अभिवादन करण्यात आले.

बुद्धिवान, कर्तबगार राजा म्हणून आपण छ.शाहू महाराज यांना  ओळखतो. त्यांनी त्या काळात धरण बांधून घेतली. सर्व धर्मीय मुलांसाठी आश्रम शाळा तयार केल्या. देशात पहिल्यांदा आरक्षणाचा पाया रचला . मराठा कुणबी मागास जातींना आरक्षण दिले. मुस्लिम मुलांसाठी आश्रम शाळा बांधली. दलित कांबळेला हॉटेल टाकून दिले. डॉ बाबासाहेब आंबेडकर यांना मदत केली. वृतपत्र मुकनायक काढण्यासाठी मदत केली... सर्व क्षेत्रात त्यांनी काम केले.जे त्या काळातील ब्राम्हणशाहिला नको होते.

बाळ गंगाधर टिळकांनी शाहू महाराज यांची बदनामी केली.शाहू महाराज यांचा ब्राम्हण पुरोहितांशी वैदिक, पुरोणुक्त मंत्र म्हणण्यावरून वाद झाला. वाद विकोपाला गेल्याने त्यांचा खून करण्याचा प्रयत्न केला गेला.परंतु महाराज आपल्या कामा प्रति प्रामाणिक होते. त्यांनी लोकशाही रुजवली. शिक्षण मोफत केले.महिलांसाठी कायदे केले. पुनर्विवाह करण्यास प्रोत्साहन दिले.देशात छ शिवाजी महाराज यांचा पहिला पुतळा पुण्यात स्थापित केला.

डॉ बाबासाहेब आंबेडकर आणि शाहू महाराज यांच्या पुतळा /प्रतिमेला हार घालून सभेला सुरवात झाली.

या अभिवादन सभेत अनेकांनी छत्रपती शाहू महाराज यांच्या कामाचा गौरव केला. आणि त्या काळातील ब्राम्हण शाहीचा धिक्कार केला. अनेकांनी त्यांच्या प्रसंगाच्या आठवणी सांगितल्या....शाहू महाराज यांच्या शताब्दी वर्षात वर्षभर कार्यक्रम करण्याचे या वेळी जाहीर करण्यात आले.

यावेळी नेते अण्णासाहेब रोकडे, पत्रकार बाबा रामटेके,ऍड. घनशाम गायकवाड, गणेश अहिरे,एसबी गवई,सुहास कोते, कॉ. उदय चौधरी, हेमंत कांबळे, अक्षय गायकवाड,दिव्यांग नेता लक्ष्मण शिर्के,दयानंद खोलंबे,आणि कार्यकर्ते उपस्थित होते.

We know Ch. Shahu Maharaj as an intelligent, dutiful king. They built a dam during that time. Ashram schools were built for all religious children. For the first time in the country, the foundation of reservation was laid. Maratha Kunbi gave reservation to backward castes. Ashram school built for Muslim children. Dalit Kamble dropped the hotel. Helped Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar. Helped to get the newspaper Muknayak ... He worked in all fields.

Bal Gangadhar Tilak defamed Shahu Maharaj. An argument broke out and an attempt was made to assassinate him. But Maharaj was sincere in his actions. He nurtured democracy. Made education free. Made laws for women. Encouraged remarriage. The first statue of Shivaji Maharaj in the country was erected in Pune.

The meeting started with garlanding the statue / image of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar and Shahu Maharaj.

In this greeting meeting, many praised the work of Cha Shahu Maharaj. And condemned the Brahmin Shahi of that period. Many shared their memories of the occasion.

Such a dutiful king was greeted at Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Udyan in Kalyan. The following dignitaries were present at that time. Leader Annasaheb Rokade, journalist Baba Ramteke, Adv. Ghansham Gaikwad, Ganesh Ahire, SB Gawai, Suhas Kote, Co. Uday Chaudhary, Hemant Kamble, Akshay Gaikwad, Divyang leader Laxman Shirke, Dayanand Kholambe, and activists stood for 100 seconds and saluted.
