२७ फेब्रुवारी हा दिवस मराठी गौरव दिन म्हणून शासन स्तरावर साजरा होत असतांना समाजमाध्यमात, काही दिनदर्शिकात मात्र कोणी मराठी गौरव दिनाला राजभाषा दिन म्हणूनच उल्लेख करून मोठयाप्रमाणात संभ्रम निर्माण करतांना दिसत आहे. राजभाषा दिन हा महाराष्ट्र स्थापना दिवशी साजरा होतो. कारण मराठी या राज्यांची राज्यभाषा आहे.या दिवसाविषयी संभ्रम निर्माण न करता मराठी भाषेचा गौरव करूया. 

२७ फेब्रुवारी हे कवी कुसुमाग्रजांचे जयंती दिवस मराठी भाषा गौरव दिन म्हणून साजरा करण्यात येतो.कवी कुसुमाग्रजांचे मराठी साहित्यातील आणि मराठी भाषेचे सौंदर्य खुलवीण्याचे कार्य अतिशय प्रेरक आहे. मराठीचा गोडवा हा संत ज्ञानेश्वर, म्हाइंमभट, बहिणाबाई ते कुसुमाग्रज अशा अनेक थोर मराठीमनाचा हा अवीरत वारसा लेखणीच्या माध्यमातून तळपत राहिला.

     आपल्या महाराष्ट्राची स्थापना १ मे १९६० रोजी झाली. परंतु महाराष्ट्राची राज्यभाषा म्हणून मराठी नव्हती. राज्य स्थापन होऊनही मराठीला राजभाषेचा दर्जा दिला गेला नव्हता. महाराष्ट्राचे कर्तबगार मराठमोळे मुख्यमंत्री, आधुनिक महाराष्ट्राचे शिल्पकार वसंतराव नाईक यांनी १ मे १९६६ रोजी मराठीला राजभाषेचा दर्जा देण्याचा अधिकृत निर्णय घेत, मराठी भाषेचा जणू राज्यभिषेक करण्यात आला. एवढेच नव्हे तर नाईकसाहेबांनी १ मे रोजी मराठी भाषेला राजभाषेचा दर्जा देण्याच्या या दिवशी केलेले भाषण आणि मांडलेले विचार हे केवळ मराठी साहित्य, भाषा पुरतेच नव्हे तर संपूर्ण मराठी मनाला गौरवणारे असे ऐतिहासिक ठरले. नाईकसाहेबांनी राज्यात सर्वप्रथम शासकिय कामकाज मराठीतून चालण्यासाठी अधिकृत शासन निर्णय तर घेतलेच.परंतु त्याचबरोबर भरिव उपाययोजना म्हणून त्यांनी सर्वप्रथम पुणे येथे भाषा संचालनालयाची स्थापना केली. मराठी भाषेचे संवर्धन व प्रसाराकरीता विभागीय केंद्राची निर्मिती केली. बालभारतीची स्थापना केली.

        महानायक वसंतराव नाईकांनी महाराष्ट्राची उभारणी करीत असतांना त्यांनी मांडलेले दूरगामी विचार आणि लोकाभिमुख धोरण हे अतिशय प्रेरणादायी आहेत. त्यांच्या कार्याचा अावाकाच इतका प्रशस्त, लोकाभिमुख आणि दूरदर्शी होता कि त्यांना ग्रंथ लिहिण्यासाठी वेळच मिळाला नाही. राज्य नवनिर्माण करतांनाचे परिश्रम, संघर्ष आणि धोरणे हे किती महत्वपुर्ण होते याचा आपण विचार करू शकता. तेंव्हाचा काळ आजच्या काळाइतका भौतिकदृष्ट्या व सोयीसुविधायुक्त नव्हता.  त्याकाळी आखलेले दूरगामी लोकाभिमुख धोरणे व उपाययोजनांच्या बळावरच आजचा पुरोगामी महाराष्ट्र खंबीरतेने उभा आहे. हे तितकेच वास्तव.

        मराठी भाषा गौरव दिन आणि राजभाषा दिन म्हणून आज खुप मोठे संभ्रम आज दिसून येते. मराठी  राजभाषा दिन म्हणजे कोणत्याही व्यक्तिमत्वाची जयंती किंवा पुण्यतिथी नसुन ते या राज्यांची प्रत्येक मराठीमनाची ती  लोकनियुक्त  शासन निर्धारित असा राजभाषा दिन (१ मे) आहे. राजभाषा दिनाला राज्याच्या दृष्टीने, राज्याचे स्वाभिमान आणि इतिहासाच्या दृष्टीने  एक ऐतिहासिक स्थान असते. राजभाषा दिन हे भिन्नभिन्न दिवशी असू शकत नाही. मराठी राजभाषा दिन  आणि मराठी भाषा गौरव दिन हे दोन्ही दिवस मराठीसाठी अत्यंत महत्वपुर्ण आहेत, परंतु या दोन्ही दिवसाचे तपशिल आणि संदर्भ मात्र वेगवेगळे आहे.

     २७ फेब्रुवारी हा दिवस मराठी भाषा गौरव दिन म्हणून साजरा करण्याचा निर्णय महाराष्ट्र शासनाने सन २०१७ मध्ये घेतला. सन २०१७ पासून २७ फेब्रुवारी हा दिवस मराठी गौरव दिन म्हणून शासन स्तरावर साजरा होत असतांना समाजमाध्यमात, काही दिनदर्शिकात मात्र कोणी मराठी गौरव दिनाला राजभाषा दिन म्हणूनच उल्लेख करून मोठयाप्रमाणात संभ्रम निर्माण करतांना दिसत आहे. राजभाषा दिन हा महाराष्ट्र स्थापना दिवशी साजरा होतो. कारण मराठी या राज्यांची राज्यभाषा आहे. या दिवसाविषयी संभ्रम निर्माण न करता मराठी भाषेचा गौरव करूया. मराठी भाषेसाठी ज्यांनी ज्यांनी योगदान दिलेत अशा सर्व महान व्यक्तीमत्वाला विनम्र अभिवादन.

       February 27 is the birth anniversary of poet Kusumagraj as Marathi Language Pride Day. Poet Kusumagraj's work to reveal the beauty of Marathi literature and Marathi language is very inspiring. The Godava of Marathi, Saint Dnyaneshwar, Mhaimbhat, Bahinabai to Kusumagraj and many other great Marathi minds continued to shine through writing. Our Maharashtra was established on May 1, 1960. But Marathi was not the state language of Maharashtra. Even after the establishment of the state, Marathi was not given the status of official language. Vasantrao Naik, the Chief Minister of Maharashtra, the sculptor of modern Maharashtra, took an official decision on May 1, 1966 to make Marathi the official language, and the Marathi language was crowned.

          Not only that, but the speeches and thoughts made by Naik Saheb on the day of giving Marathi the status of official language on May 1, became a historical event not only for Marathi literature and language but also for the entire Marathi mind. Naik Saheb was the first in the state to take official government decision to conduct government business in Marathi. But at the same time, as a comprehensive measure, he first established the Directorate of Languages ​​in Pune. Created a Divisional Center for the Preservation and Dissemination of Marathi Language. Founded Balbharati. The far-sighted ideas and people-oriented policies put forward by Mahanayak Vasantrao Naik while building Maharashtra are very inspiring. The scope of his work was so wide, people-oriented and far-sighted that he did not have time to write a book.
