जळगाव/मुंबई: देशाच्या प्रजासत्ताक दिनी, ज्या दिवशी संपूर्ण देश डॉ. बाबासाहेब आंबेडकरांच्या संविधानाचे गुणगान गातो, त्याच दिवशी जळगावमध्ये एक संतापजनक प्रकार घडला. जिल्ह्याचे पालकमंत्री गिरीश महाजन यांनी आपल्या भाषणात भारतीय संविधानाचे शिल्पकार डॉ. बाबासाहेब आंबेडकर यांचे नाव घेण्याचे जाणीवपूर्वक टाळले. मंत्र्यांच्या या कृत्यामुळे कर्तव्यावर असलेल्या वनविभागाच्या वन रक्षक  माधवी जाधव यांचा संताप अनावर झाला आणि त्यांनी भर कार्यक्रमात मंत्र्यांना आरसा दाखवला.

"संविधान देणाऱ्याचा विसर पडला कसा?"

मंत्री महाजन यांचे भाषण संपताच माधवी जाधव यांनी थेट त्यांच्यासमोर जाऊन जाब विचारला. त्या म्हणाल्या,

"ज्या व्यक्तीने देशाला संविधान दिले, ज्यांनी लोकशाही दिली, त्यांचे नाव घेण्याचे तुम्ही टाळले? हे देशद्रोहासारखे आहे. तुम्हाला देशाची माफी मागावीच लागेल. "

निलंबनाची भीती नाही, स्वाभिमान मोठा!

माधवी जाधव यांची ही निर्भीड भूमिका पाहून प्रशासकीय वर्तुळात खळबळ उडाली आहे. मात्र, जाधव आपल्या भूमिकेवर ठाम आहेत. त्यांनी अत्यंत बाणेदारपणे ठणकावून सांगितले की:

• "मला सस्पेंड केले तरी चालेल, पण मी माफी मागणार नाही."

• "शिक्षा म्हणून मला वाळूचे ट्रक रिकामे करायला लावले किंवा माती खोदण्याचे काम दिले तरी मी ते करेन. "

• "पण बाबासाहेबांची ओळख मिटू देणार नाही. मंत्र्यांनी त्यांची चूक मान्य करायलाच हवी."

राष्ट्रपतींचा दाखला आणि मंत्र्यांची जातवादी वृत्ती?

देशाच्या राष्ट्रपती जेव्हा प्रजासत्ताक दिनाचे भाषण करतात, तेव्हा त्या डॉ. बाबासाहेब आंबेडकरांच्या विचारांनी सुरुवात करतात. मंत्र्यांनी खरं तर राष्ट्रपतींच्या अभिभाषणाचा आदर करायचा असतो, पण महाजनांनी जाणीवपूर्वक नाव न घेणे हे त्यांच्यातील 'जातिवादी' मानसिकतेचे दर्शन घडवते, अशी टीका आता सर्वच स्तरांतून होत आहे.

एकीकडे सत्तेसमोर भल्याभल्यांची दातखीळ बसते, तिथे माधवी जाधव यांनी दाखवलेले हे धाडस कौतुकास्पद आहे. सोशल मीडियावर सध्या माधवी जाधव यांच्यावर अभिनंदनाचा वर्षाव होत असून, "क्रांतिकारी सलाम" दिला जात आहे. बाबासाहेबांच्या सन्मानासाठी आपली नोकरी पणाला लावणाऱ्या या वाघिणीची चर्चा संपूर्ण महाराष्ट्रात रंगली आहे.
