नागपुरात दुर्मिळ स्थलांतरित पक्षी!

"Blue Capped Rock Thrush" या दुर्मिळ पक्ष्याच्या दर्शनाने नागपूरच्या पक्षी निरीक्षकांच्या समुदायात आनंदाचे वातावरण पसरले आहे

नागपूर, ता. २ : हवामानातील बदलांमुळे स्थलांतर करणाऱ्या पक्ष्यांच्या प्रवासात नागपूर शहर एक महत्त्वाचा थांबा ठरत आहे. नुकतेच एका पक्षी निरीक्षकाला सोनेगाव विमानतळाजवळील आमराई परिसरात  ‘ब्लू कॅप्ड रॉक थ्रश’ अर्थात निळ्या टोपीचा कस्तुर हा दुर्मिळ स्थलांतरित पक्षी दृष्टीस पडला.

हा पक्षी प्रामुख्याने उत्तर भारतातील हिमाचल प्रदेश, जम्मू काश्मीर आणि उत्तराखंड या राज्यांमध्ये आढळतो. हिवाळ्यात तो दक्षिणेकडील केरळ राज्यामध्ये स्थलांतर करतो. पक्षी तज्ज्ञांच्या माहितीनुसार, हा पक्षी केरळमधून हिमालयाकडे परतत असताना नागपुरात काही दिवस विसाव्यासाठी थांबला होता.

पक्षी निरीक्षकाने सांगितले की, आमराईच्या शांत आणि हिरव्यागार वातावरणात या सुंदर पक्ष्याला पाहणे एक अद्भुत अनुभव होता. त्यांनी या दुर्मिळ क्षणाला आपल्या कॅमेऱ्यात कैद केले आहे.

नागपूरच्या आसपासची नैसर्गिक जागा स्थलांतरित पक्ष्यांसाठी आश्रयस्थान म्हणून महत्त्वाची ठरत आहे. शहराच्या मधोमध असूनही आमराईसारख्या ठिकाणी विविध प्रजातींचे पक्षी काही काळ विश्रांतीसाठी येत असल्याचे या घटनेवरून स्पष्ट होते. पक्षी निरीक्षकांनी नागरिकांना आवाहन केले आहे की, अशा पक्ष्यांच्या अधिवासाचे जतन करणे आवश्यक आहे, जेणेकरून या नैसर्गिक सौंदर्याचा अनुभव घेता येईल.

या दुर्मिळ पक्ष्याच्या दर्शनाने नागपूरच्या पक्षी निरीक्षकांच्या समुदायात आनंदाचे वातावरण पसरले आहे आणि या भागातील जैवविविधतेचे महत्त्व पुन्हा एकदा अधोरेखित झाले आहे.

Rare Migratory Bird Sighted in Nagpur!

Nagpur, 2: Due to changes in weather patterns, the city of Nagpur is becoming an important stopover for migratory birds during their journeys. Recently, a birdwatcher spotted a rare migratory bird, the ‘Blue Capped Rock Thrush,’ in the mango orchard area near Sonegaon Airport.

This bird is primarily found in the northern Indian states of Himachal Pradesh, Jammu Kashmir, and Uttarakhand. During winter, it migrates to the southern state of Kerala. According to bird experts, this particular bird was taking a break in Nagpur for a few days while returning from Kerala towards the Himalayas.

The birdwatcher mentioned that observing this beautiful bird in the peaceful and green environment of the mango orchard was an amazing experience. They have also captured this rare moment in their camera.

The natural spaces around Nagpur are proving to be important shelters for migratory birds. This incident clearly shows that despite being in the middle of the city, places like the mango orchard provide a temporary resting place for various species of birds. Birdwatchers have appealed to citizens to conserve the habitats of such birds, so that the beauty of this natural diversity can be experienced.
