मानसून आया...! Monsoon came…!

सुबह सुबह मौसम सुहाना होने लगा...हवा में ठंडक का अनुभव हो रहा था मानो "गर्मी में ठंडक का अहसास". मौसम संकेत दे रहा हो कि सखी सावन आया है। हल्की फुवारे...ठंडी हवा...घने बादल.... मन झूमने लगा था। तभी रास्ते में चचा मौसमलाल मिल गए।

मैंने कहा , चचा कहा जा रहे हो।

चचा मौसम विभाग में चपरासी की नौकरी कर रहे थे। बेटा कहा जाएंगे बस मौसम बदल रहा है ऑफिस जा रहा हूं।

     मैंने कहा चचा आपका मौसम विभाग आज कल मौसम कि जानकारी बड़ी सटीक दे रहा है। चचा मौसमलाल बोल पड़े जानकारी को हमारे पिताजी दिया करते थे। (पिताजी यानी हवामानलाल , मौसम विभाग में अधिकारी थे) आज कल तो बस टेबुल पर बैठकर काम हो जाता है । पहले तो मौसम की सटीक जानकारी बताने में पापड़ बेलने पड़ते थे। मौसमलाल बोले हवामानलाल (पिताजी)  हवामान का अंदाज सही बताते थे। कितनी मेहनत करते थे। तब जाकर किसान खेतो में बुआई कि तैयारी करता था, सरकारी तंत्र काम पर लगता था। अकाल व बाढ़ पर मंथन होने लगता था।

    मैंने पूछा सच बताना वे लोग मौसम के बारे में इतनी सही और सटीक भविष्यवाणी कैसे कर लेते थे? तब इतना सटीक अंदाज कैसे बताते थे कि मानसून कब आएगा? बोले टोटके से! मैं आश्चर्य चकित होकर पूछा टोटके से! 

मौसमलाल बोले तब यंत्र सब पुराने थे कभी चलते थे तो कभी बंद। अब किसानों को मौसम कि भविष्यवाणी बतानी तो पड़ती थी। तब कई बार पंचाग का सहारा लेना पड़ता था। पंचाग कई बार सही साबित होता था। तभी दूसरा आदमी जो अनुभवी है उसे शहर कि सबसे ऊंची छत पर बिठा देते हैं जरा सी भी बादलों के इधर आने की भनक मिलते ही हम फटाक से दूर-दूर तक गरज के साथ छिटे तो कहीं-कहीं भारी बारिश की भविष्यवाणी कर देते थे । इसके अलावा हमारे पास मौसम बताने का नायाब व क्लासिक तरीका भी था । हमारे कार्यालय के पूर्व दिशा के एक कमरे में चार कोने बना रखें थे एक में लिखा रहता था बरसात, दूसरे में बाहर शुष्क मौसम , तीसरे में तेज हवा तथा चौथे कोने मे सामान्य मौसम लिखा रहता था। जब पंचांग और बादलों के आने की आहट नहीं मिलती थी तब हम इस माध्यम का प्रयोग करते थे । एक छोटे बालक को आंख पर पट्टी बांधकर उस कमरे में छोड़ देते थे। उसे चल कर किसी एक कोने में जाने को कहते थे.....वह जिस कोने में जाकर रुक जाता था तो उस कोने में जो लिखा होता था, उसी के आधार पर भविष्यवाणी कर देते थे और वह भविष्यवाणी सही भी साबित होती थी। तब से निदेशक साहब इससे खुश हो जाते थे। उन्होंने तो  इसी टोटके का उपयोग सभी केंद्रों पर करने के मौखिक आदेश दे दिए थे। कई बार गलत भी हो जाती थी लेकिन लोग समझदार थे...बुरा नहीं मानते थे...उन्हें पता होता था मौसम है कभी भी मूड बदलता रहता है।

     हमे तो बीते कुछ वर्षों में मौसम विभाग की भविष्यवाणियों से भरोसा उठ सा गया था..जब कहते थे बारिश होगी...तब लोग समझ जाते थे आज बारिश नहीं होगी। होता भी वैसे ही था। मौसम विभाग से जैसे भरोसा भी उठ गया था।

   मैंने कहा मौसमलाल अब तो उससे भी सटीक आने लगी! लोगो का भरोसा भी बने लगा है...अब लोग पूछ रहे है कि मौसम विभाग से आदमी बदले है या मशीनें!

भाई अब क्या है बस बटन दबाओ....कंप्यूटर की स्क्रीन पर देखो सेट लाइट चल चित्र बता देता है। अब पुरानी जैसी मेहनत कहा! अब तो आराम है।

    मौसमलाल बोले अब कि बार मानसून भी लाइन पर आ गया है...समय पर आ रहा है...देखो ठंडी हवाएं चल रहीं है...बारिश भी सामान्य से अधिक होने की भविष्यवाणी हुई है। अब किसान भी काम पर लग गया है...। 

मौसमलाल बोले "इसमें देश के नेता का भाग्य भी काम करता है" ऐसा लगता है।  वैसे इस बार तो कोराना का डर इतना है कि लोग मानसून का आनंद भी के पाएंगे या नहीं ! अबकी शादियां भी दिखाने के लिए सोशल डिस्टेंसिंग  व मास्क लगाकर हुई है! मौसम अच्छा रहा तो बुआई व फसल भी अच्छी होगी। पर इतना हो अच्छा हो गया कि तूफान की जानकारी मिलने लगी है....। कई भविष्यवाणियां सही साबित हो रही हैं। बस अब मानसून के बरसने का इंतज़ार है...।
