मुष्ठीयुद्ध स्पर्धेत नागपूरच्या जुळ्या बहिणी निदा नाहीदसह प्रशिक्षक

नागपूर,ता.२: रायगड जिल्ह्यातील महाड येथे नुकत्याच झालेल्या सब ज्युनिअर बॉक्सिंग चॅम्पियनशिपमध्ये निदा अंजूम अहमद हिने सुवर्ण पदक तर नाहीद अंजूम अहमद हिने रौप्य पदक जिंकले. निदा आणि नाहीद या दोन्ही जुळ्या बहिणी असून दोघींनी राज्यस्तरीय स्पर्धेत नागपूरचा गौरव वाढविला आहे.

निदा आणि नाहीद या अनंतनगर येथील सेंट विन्सेंट पल्लोटी स्कूलमध्ये ९ व्या वर्गाला शिकतात. मागील एक वर्षापासून त्या मानकापुरातील क्रीडा संकुलात प्रशिक्षक गणेश पुरोहित आणि योगेश मिश्रा यांच्या मार्गदर्शनाखाली सराव करीत आहे. महाड येथे ७ ते १३ नोव्हेंबर दरम्यान झालेल्या उपकनिष्ठ 

राज्य स्तरीय मुष्ठीयुद्ध स्पर्धेत नागपुरातील जवळपास २६ खेळाडू सगभागी झाले होते. त्यातील ६ जणांनी कांस्य पदक जिंकले. तर निदा आणि नाहीद या दोन बघिणींनी चमकदार कामगिरी करीत अनुक्रमे सुवर्ण आणि रौप्य पदक जिंकत या स्पर्धेत नागपूरचे नाव लौकीक केले. त्यांच्या या यशाचा नागपूरच्या मुष्ठीयुद्ध जगतात गौरव करण्यात येत आहे. निदा आणि नाहीद यांनी आपल्या यशाचे श्रेय प्रशिक्षक यांच्यासह आई नुसरत जबीन अहमद आणि वडील रियाजुद्दीन अहमद यांना दिले आहे.

Nagpur's Nida, Nahid won gold and silver medals in boxing

Nagpur: Nida Anjum Ahmed won gold medal and Nahid Anjum Ahmed won silver medal in the recent Sub Junior Boxing Championship held at Mahad in Raigad district. Nida and Nahid are twin sisters and they have enhanced the prestige of Nagpur in the state level competitions.

Nida and Nahid are in 9th class at St. Vincent Pallotti School in Anantnagar. For the last one year, he has been practicing at the sports complex in Mankapur under the guidance of coaches Ganesh Purohit and Yogesh Mishra. Upakanishtha held from 7th to 13th November at Mahad

About 26 players from Nagpur participated in the state level boxing tournament. 6 of them won bronze medals. Nagpur's Nida and Nahid won gold and silver medals respectively. His success is being glorified in the boxing world of Nagpur. Nida and Nahid attribute their success to coaches, mother Nusrat Jabeen Ahmed and father Riazuddin Ahmed.
