राहुल पांडे 

 नागपूर दि १७ - मध्य हिंदुस्थानातील सर्वात मोठे इंग्रजी वृत्तपत्र द हितवादचे शहर संपादक राहुल पांडे यांची माहिती आयुक्त म्हणून नेमणूक करण्यात आली आहे. विदर्भातील माहिती आयुक्त म्हणून निवड झालेले पांडे हे पहिलेच पत्रकार आहे.

48 वर्षीय पांडे ह्यांनी पोलिटिकल सायन्समध्ये एम.ए केले असून त्यांनी एलएलबी ही पूर्ण केले आहे. 

पांडे यांचा पत्रकार म्हणून ही आरटीआय कायद्याचा अभ्यास दांडगा आहे. त्यांनी असंख्य आरटीआयवर आधारित बातम्या तर केल्या आहेतच, पण तसेच आरटीआयचा योग्य वापर करून ही असंख्य प्रकरणं उघडकीस आणली आहेत. सार्वजनिक हिताच्या अनेक प्रश्नांवर त्यांनी केलेल्या वार्तांकनामुळे हाय कोर्टाने त्या विषयांना जनहित याचिका म्हणून दाखल करून घेतले आहे. इतक्या मोठ्या प्रमाणात कोर्टाने वार्तांकनाची दखल घेतलेला राहुल पांडे हा एकमेव पत्रकार असेल. 

त्यांच्या राजकीय अभ्यास आणि आकलनामुळे अनेक वेळा वेगवेगळ्या इलेक्ट्रॉनिक न्यूज चॅनेल्सवर ही चर्चा सत्रांमध्ये त्यांना बोलावले जाते. 

त्यांनी नुकतेच नितीन गडकरी ह्यांच्या webinars वर आधारित अनमासकिंग इंडिया नावाचे  पुस्तक ही संपादित केले आहे.

 Rahul Pandey Appointment as Information Commissioner

 Nagpur, 17: Rahul Pandey, city editor of The Hitwad, the largest English language newspaper in Central India, has been appointed as Information Commissioner. Pandey is the first journalist to be elected as the Information Commissioner of Vidarbha

Pandey, 48, holds an MA in Political Science and an LLB.

As a journalist, Pandey's study of RTI law is invaluable. He has done a lot of news based on RTI, but he has also used RTI to uncover a number of cases. The High Court has taken up the issue as a public interest litigation due to his coverage of various issues of public interest. Rahul Pandey will be the only journalist to have received such a large number of court coverage.

Because of his political studies and insights, he is often invited to these discussion sessions on various electronic news channels.

He has recently edited a book called Unmasking India based on Nitin Gadkari's webinars.
